The Union of Scottish Aquarists was founded on the  twenty-ninth day of November 1987. 

It's  aim is to:

1. Help and assist member clubs whenever and wherever it can.

2.Supply USA show standards and judges trained to USA standards.

3.The USA will never refuse to help fellow aquarists, regardless of membership, creed or colour, who cares to ask for help or advice on any aspect of the hobby.

 Congratulations to Ryan Doig and Martin Turnbull in completing the USA judges course held recently. Senior judge, Mike Dewar informed them both at the Kirkcaldy Aquarists Society meeting held on Monday the 21st of July 2008 that they had successfully passed the course.

Ryan and Martin will be referred to as "B" class judges.

The USA open show held on Sunday the 21st  of June 2009 was a another great success, special thanks go to Jean Symington, John Reid and Eric Jones for their hard work in organising and running the show.

Thank you to Graham Ramsey and Martin Turnbull for being our auctioneer and assistant.

We also want to thank Christine, Joe and Linda for all their efforts at the top table.

Special thanks to the USA judges, Mike, Jill, John, Eric, Ernie, Ken and Ryan for assisting in the judging room.

Also to Iain, Bill, and Jean,  for their help in the booking in of the fish and for the work done on the place tickets and certificates.

Many thanks also to everyone involved in keeping the canteen running. also thank you to everyone who donated for the canteen and the raffle.

Thanks also to the runners on the day,   without you the buyers don't get their fish!

 

One person that will be very pleased is Jamie Sinclair, ( Ian's grandson) with a Botia Sidthimunki, who won best junior and also best fish, for the second year running, very well done.

Second best fish went to Gus McArthur, with a Corydoras Seussi.

Third best fish went to John Hetherington, with a Melanotania Preacox.
